000 - Where do we start?

I’m Destin Scott, and in this newsletter, Massara Hamam and I share the ideas that we’ve discussed, most of which belong to her. I’d have nothing to post if it weren’t for her insights.

This newsletter and the accompanying “Golden Path Podcast” is for the people whos job it is, to bring out the best in others; assuming you’re one of the minority actually doing their job. Self-development obsessed psychoanalysts, Seminary students, pastoral and spiritual counselors - and, frankly, all kinds of coaches and educators too.

That being said, while those are the sub-groups we get the most enthusiastic responses from, we are committed to the lessons in this podcast being universal to the whole human experience, meaning everyone who cares. The best word for that is Archetypal, and anyone who resonates with that will love it here.

The straw that broke the camels’ back, so to speak, that got me to start this newsletter was learning from experience in conversations with Massara that writing and speaking help act as more of a quality teacher than just about anything else. I’m personally a self-development coach, and it matters to both of us that we’re sharing a level of quality that is unheard of in the world. We both strive to make what we teach available to everyone, regardless of affordability.

My “Why” is distilled very neatly into the phrase: “On Earth, as it is in Heaven.”

I’ll add TO this with a quote I love; with minor changes to make it more relatable.

If the people in charge say to you, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will be your role model. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will be your role model.

Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

When you come to know yourselves, you will become both the knower and the known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons and daughters of the living Father.

But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty…and it is you who are that poverty.

End quote.

With that context, we’ve committes to be a source of transformation in the world, from poverty to purpose.

If you are too, I think you’ll love it here.

We appreciate you.
